bwilkie2 Sep 2009I dont have a manual for this register. You can buy a manual for a Sanyo 525 which is like the 505 but with more features. The tax change is probably the same. Check www.cash-register.info A PDF manual download will probably cost you about $14.00 If you want to get the manual and then send it to me I will translate the technical talk into everyday talk and then talk you through it. I'm wondering how to program the date and time on a Sanyo ECR 505 cash register. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
4Answersblackrose30 Sep 2005I have a set of instructions for the ecr 645, and it should work the same. This is exactly how the book puts it. Key Sequence ----(91)--SUBTOTAL--(S M1 M2 D1 D2 Y1 Y2 H1 H2 M3 M4--#NET ST-- The p mode indicates that the key needs to be in the p (programming) position. The 91 tells the cash register what to program. The subtotal tell the register that you want to program setting 91. the (s - m4) need the chart i will provide below. S 0 MM-DD-YY, 12-HOUR CLOCK 1 DD-MM-YY, 12-HOUR CLOCK 2 MM-DD-YY, 24-HOUR CLOCK 3 DD-MM-YY, 24-HOUR CLOCK M1-M2: Month (01~12 D1-D2: Date (01~31) Y1-Y2: Year H1-H2: Hour in millitary time (00~23) M3-M4: Minutes (00-59) If you have anymore questions email me. I have searched my archives for Sanyo Registers and I do not have time change information available for that model. I wish you well in your task. P.S. I have a pocket manual that I will check for the time change information. It would stand to reason that the date and time information that you are requesting would be the same for several models. It does not have to be the same, it may be worth a try. 'All Sanyo Cash Register inquiries are handled by Sanyo Canada Inc. If you require operational support, in or out of warranty replacement parts, or an owner�s manual, please contact SANYO Canada at (905)760-4061 between the hours of 9:00 am � 5:30 pm EST, Monday thru Friday. You can also send an e-mail to hdsouza@sci.sanyo.com' So I guess you will need to give them a call tomorrow, I will still try to do a little more searching, but Please let me know if they are able to help you out.
